BUILDING MY OWN TABLE
There came a point in my journey when I realized I could not keep waiting for permission to walk through doors that were never opening for me.
Like many writers, I dreamed of being invited to the table. I hoped agents, publishers, and industry gatekeepers would see the value in my stories and make room for me. But somewhere along the way, I understood something powerful: sometimes God will allow the table to stay full so you finally learn how to build your own.
That realization gave birth to Hewett Enterprises, LLC.
What started as a business became something much deeper. It became a declaration that my stories mattered, even before the world fully recognized them. It became a home for my novels, my stage productions, my spoken word, my children’s books, and every dream that refused to stay quiet inside me.
Hewett Enterprises, LLC allows me to promote my work with authenticity, creativity, and freedom. It gives me the ability to connect directly with readers, build meaningful experiences around my stories, and create opportunities not only for myself, but hopefully for others who have ever felt overlooked, underestimated, or unheard.
I want people to understand something: rejection is not always the end of the story. Sometimes it is the beginning of ownership. Sometimes it is the push that forces you to stop waiting for a seat and start building a room of your own.
And if my journey encourages another dreamer, another writer, another woman who feels unseen, then every closed door served a purpose after all.
